Sarah Chae — Soprano

South Korean soprano Sarah Chae performs a diverse repertoire spanning traditional and contemporary works. Recent engagements include Frasquita in Carmen at the Immling Festival (2025). In 2024 she appeared as Lesbia in L'isola d'Alcina with Bampton Classical Opera, sang the title role in Balfe's Satanella at the Erzgebirgische Theater in Germany, and made her debut as the Queen of the Night in The Magic Flute.

In 2023 she sang Calloandra in the UK premiere of Salieri's La fiera di Venezia with Bampton Classical Opera and covered Violetta in La Traviata for Oxford Opera. As a Young Artist at the National Opera Studio in London, she was cast by Welsh National Opera as Iris (Semele), Norina (Don Pasquale), Nannetta (Falstaff) and Giulietta (I Capuleti e i Montecchi), and performed Zerbinetta (Ariadne auf Naxos) and Mademoiselle Silberklang (Der Schauspieldirektor) with Scottish Opera and NOS.
